Ponad 70 osób wzięło udział w jubileuszowej V edycji Dyktanda z Języka Angielskiego przygotowanego przez Wydział Filologiczny KPSW. W językowej rywalizacji udział wzięli uczniowie szkół ponadgimnazjalnych z Bydgoszczy oraz innych miast regionu. Wszyscy walczyli o nagrodę główną, czyli indeks na filologię angielską w KPSW oraz książki i fiszki do nauki języków obcych. Nazwiska laureatów poznamy na początku maja 2012r (będą dostępne na stronie internetowej uczelni)! Sid Willis was born in a Catholic family in the parish of St. Dominic in a District of San Francisco, California. His religious denomination, Christianity, is the biggest religion in America and is practiced by approximately 76% (per cent or percent) of Americans. The majority of American Christians are Roman Catholics, with other denominations including Baptists, Methodists, Evangelicals, Presbyterians, Episcopalians, and others.
Sid visits his parish church on a regular basis. It is his obligation as a Catholic to go to a religious service every Sunday and on important holidays, such as Christmas, Epiphany, Corpus Christi or Easter. Sid willingly participates in different parish activities like the gatherings of the biblical circle and reading the Scriptures, showing religious films, or organizing parish picnics and barbecues. "Being a good Christian," he says "means getting involved."
Sid´s wife, Abigail, is Jewish. The Willises live in a mixed religion marriage, but Abigail does not feel dominated by her Catholic husband and their six children. The family simply sticks together and disregards any religious differences.
