Living Expenses/Accommodation
KPU offers its students a possibility of dormitory accommodation. Each student, by prior notification, can book a room at the dormitory on on 12/14 Sylwestra Kaliskiego st. in Bydgoszcz. The price of such accommodation is 750PLN per month paid in advance for the whole stay.
Another option is to find a private room or apartment on internet-website. Many people offer a room for a rent for students for the price of 700-900PLN on average. If you wish to rent whole flat you have to take into account the cost of renting a flat is about 2000-2700PLN of the total costs per month plus deposit 1500-2500PLN (returned at the end of renting period if nothing is destroyed in the flat), but many owners prefer to rent flats for a long term (one year minimum). Food expenses
Apart from the accommodation costs each student must have the means to buy food and cover his/her other every-day expenses. On average, such expenses amount to 500-700PLN per month.
Transportation
Single-ride ticket for public transportation for students costs 1.50PLN. More often students use the City Card, which can be recharged every month or once per three month. The price of unlimited use of public transport costs 46 zlotys. Important: only students who have Student ID's can buy tickets at this price. Every candidate who was admitted to the university receives such a card. It also allows you to buy railway tickets with a discount of 51% and the right to other discounts, for example for using the libraries or visiting museums.

How to get from bus station and railway station to the university?
The way from the bus station to the university is very short. The bus station is located on the bank of the river Brda, the Kujawy and Pomorze University is located on the other side of the river just across the station. In order to get to the university go under the big bridge and continue walking in that direction towards a small pedestrian bridge. On the other side there is an ice skating rink Torbyd – after passing the rink you will see the Kujawy and Pomorze University.
To get to the university please use the tram no 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and leave at stop JAGIELLOŃSKA / ŁUŻYCKA, then cross the pedestrian bridge on the river Brda and pass the Nordic Tower buildings to see Kujawy and Pomorze University on the right.
