We cordially invite you to participate inThe 2nd International ETAT Conference: Europe Today and Tomorrow – Sustainable Economy, Society, Environment and Culture, which will be held at the University's headquarters at ul. Toruńska 55-57 in Bydgoszcz, as a part of The International Open Science Days - organised since 2012.

  

We kindly invite both representatives of the scientific world and people from outside the academic community to participate in the Congress. A large group of students always participate in the deliberations. We hope that this research event will abound in many valuable observations and reflections. The participants included representatives of the social sciences, representing domestic and foreign research centers.

Conference Panels 

Panel 1: Sustainable Economy and Development

This panel focuses on economic challenges and opportunities facing contemporary Europe, with particular emphasis on sustainable development, innovation, and resilience.

Possible topics include:

  • Sustainable economic growth and development

  • Green economy and circular economy models

  • Innovation, digital transformation and competitiveness

  • European economic policy and integration

  • Entrepreneurship and responsible business

  • Labour markets and future of work

Panel 2: Society, Social Change and Resilience

This panel addresses social processes and transformations shaping European societies, including issues of welfare, inclusion, and social cohesion.

Possible topics include:

  • Social cohesion and inequality

  • Demographic change and migration

  • Education and lifelong learning

  • Social policy and welfare systems

  • Community resilience and social capital

  • Public governance and civic engagement

Panel 3: Environment, Sustainability and Climate Challenges

This panel is devoted to environmental issues and sustainable solutions in response to global and European climate challenges.

  • Sustainable use of natural resources

  • Climate change adaptation and mitigation

  • Environmental awareness and education

  • Sustainable cities and regional development

Panel 4: Culture, Language and Society

(including English Studies / English Philology)

This panel explores the role of culture and language in shaping contemporary Europe, with particular attention to English studies, intercultural communication, and cultural diversity.

Possible topics include:

 

  • English language studies and cultural exchange

  • Intercultural communication and multilingualism in Europe

  • Language, identity and social integration

  • Literature, media and cultural narratives

  • Translation studies and cultural mediation

  • Language and culture in the digital era

Publications:

Articles written on the basis of the presented presentations, after receiving a positive review, will be published in a peer-reviewed scientific monograph in the Publishing House of the Kujawsko-Pomorska Academy from the list of the Ministry of Education and Science or in bulleted scientific journals included in the list of the Ministry of Education and Science. More details about our journals you cn find here:
