Abstract
The article addresses the issue of contemporary threats to global security and emphasizes the importance of scholarly dialogue and international cooperation in building peace. It highlights the role of the “One World—Many Cultures” Congress and the teachings of Pope Leo XIV, which point to the need to combat war, famine, and violence through solidarity and responsible action. The author emphasizes that lasting peace requires not only the proclamation of values but also their practical implementation for the common good.

Abstract
The rapid integration processes in Lithuania have progressively created new opportunities, primarily accessed by active and mobile segments of society. For example, students pursue studies at foreign universities, while academic staff engage in knowledge exchange through dissemination and acquisition abroad. Lithuania participates in international student exchange programs and regularly announces competitions for internships, courses, and projects. These initiatives enable young individuals to broaden their perspectives and obtain education from diverse higher education institutions worldwide. However, studying abroad presents considerable challenges. Students often encounter difficulties not only in academic contexts but also at the psychological level. Recent research has introduced the concept of “foreign student syndrome,” characterized by uncertainty, somatic complaints, passivity, limited social interaction, and disorganization. Successful adaptation is increasingly recognized as a crucial indicator of academic success. The issue of student adaptation in higher education has long attracted scholarly interest, with studies examining the transitional challenges, determinants of successful and unsuccessful adaptation, and the efficacy of various support mechanisms. To foster positive learning attitudes, strong academic performance, and the development of intercultural competence, it is essential to investigate both theoretical and empirical factors influencing the adaptation of international students. This study seeks to explore the determinants of foreign student adaptation within the context of a specific institution. The objective is to identify key factors influencing the adaptation process of international students at Lietuvos Inzinerijos Kolegija Higher Education Institution. Each higher education institution employs its own strategies to support student adaptation. Accordingly, this article presents a case study of adaptation practices at Lietuvos Inzinerijos Kolegija Higher Education Institution. A mixed-methods research design, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative approaches, was employed.

Abstract
Each sacrament has its own specific dynamics. In the sacraments, God not only gives evidence of his closeness, but also educates and explains the mystery of his presence. As an example, this article uses the rite of priestly ordination to show the unique way in which the Holy Trinity is present throughout the whole ceremony. The rite of ordination of new priests is marked by numerous prayers that reveal the participation of each of the Three Persons of the Holy Trinity. God the Father is the first to take the initiative of calling, and at the same time He is the goal towards which humanity strives. In the light of the rite, the Son of God is shown as the One to whom the newly ordained priest is conformed in a unique way, and also as the One in whose name the priest acts. The Holy Spirit, as the Third Person of the Holy Trinity, consecrates, that is sanctifies, the one who is called to fulfill his purpose as a priest.

Abstract
This paper addresses the topic of metaphor cards in integrative psychotherapy with young adults with mood disorders (Wiśniowska, Gmitrowicz, Szmajda 2024). A practical reference points to the use of metaphor cards in psychotherapeutic work both in individual sessions and in group work. On the basis of the referenced literature, clinical sources were identified that confirm the inc- lusion of metaphor cards in working with the indicated mental mood disorders of people on the path from adulthood to adulthood, known as young adults. The paper indicates the goals of psychotherapeutic interventions with the use of cards, which effectively open the patient to insights into self–experiences on the road to recovery. The practical reference of the use of cards to the indicated disorders addresses psychotherapy practitioners open to the inclusion of metaphorical cards in the process of psychotherapy. The conclusions represent the practice of bringing the cards into the structure of sessions, which allows deepening the young adult’s insight into individual emotional regulation mechanisms. In this work, metaphor cards represent he essence of the intervention, which is the introduction of metaphor into patient work directed at bringing out unconscious meanings central to mental health disorders (Priya, 2024)

Abstract
The article draws attention to a currently discussed area of global security analysis, namely the negative demographic situation in most countries of the world, especially in the so-called North, but also in new entities striving for global domination (especially in China). Two reasons for this state of affairs are pointed out. The first is the anti-Malthusian policy pursued throughout the world, especially since the end of the Second World War. The second reason for the contemporary aversion to parenthood is the widespread consumerist attitude in the field of human eroticism.

Abstract
In a dynamic and competitive business environment, effectively motivating employees is a key management challenge, determining team engagement and effectiveness. The main goal of this article is to analyze the impact of personality-related and individual factors on work motivation. Based on a critical analysis of the relevant literature, theoretical considerations indicate that motivation is a force shaped by two groups of determinants. The first group comprises relatively stable personality-related factors, such as temperament, the personality traits defined by the Big Five model, achievement orientation, self-efficacy, locus of control, growth mindset, and personal values, which define a person’s general approach to work and response to stimuli. The second group comprises more dynamic individual factors related to the current life and professional situation, such as age and career stage, qualifications, family and financial situation, health and energy level, socioeconomic status, life experience, and cultural background. This article argues that sustainable and effective motivation requires managers to holistically recognize this complex interaction and implement personalized strategies that include flexible adaptation of motivational tools, support for personal development, and foster an organizational culture that fosters autonomy and psychological safety. Only such an approach can transform motivation into a source of sustainable competitive advantage for organizations.

English-Medium Instruction (EMI) academic programmes have become an essential aspect of higher education institutions both in Europe and worldwide. They have been developed to attract international students, boost mobility and improve graduates’ employabi lity. Depending on the national policies, institutional priorities, and English proficiency levels, there have been a number of opportunities provided for developing multilingualism and mobility, including migration processes.

Abstract
The article concerns the issue of the procedure for appointing the Director of the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution, as well as the formal and substantive requirements for taking up this function. The author questions the view presented by the National Council of the Judiciary that only a judge may hold the position of Director of the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution. According to the author, such a position is not justified by norms. The article also refers to the issue of substantive qualifications of a candidate for Director of the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution, indicating that a candidate for Director of the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution should have preparation and experience in the field of classes for trainees of prosecutor’s and judge’s apprenticeship, as well as in the field of continuing education, as these are the basic areas of activity of the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution.

Abstract
Cultural heritage is based on values, cultural meanings and traditions rooted in human nature. When discussing the legal protection of cultural heritage, we are essentially asking about the identity of law. Legal norms are shaped within a specific temporal and geographical space. Law is a product and testimony of human civilisation. Culture fills and gives meaning to human actions. This raises the question of the normative understanding of the categories of time and space in regulations concerning the protection of cultural heritage. In the following discussion, this issue will be explained using a dogmatic-legal method, which will be supplemented by a comparative method. Cultural heritage is a reflection of social diversity. The arguments presented will show the impact of axiology on the concept of time and space through the prism of a multidimensional and interdisciplinary concept of cultural heritage.

In Poland and the USA, there are two emblematic institutions working for world peace: Auschwitz and the USHMM, whose acronym requires no further explanation today. What lessons can we learn from these places? This article will discuss this topic.

Abstract
The right to privacy in the digital age requires constant attention from legislators, courts and supervisory authorities, particularly in view of the dynamic development of AI, which can be used for surveillance and monitoring. The article defines the right to privacy in various aspects, including constitutionalism, and also takes into account comparative law elements – an analysis of this right in the constitutions of the largest EU countries, the US and China. It highlights key CJEU and ECHR case law on data retention and mass surveillance. It also assesses the impact of national security and public interest on the right to privacy and the scope of its limitations. The article points out that artificial intelligence, using its ability to recognise, predict and profile, leads to qualitatively new forms of interference with individual privacy, which require different legal mechanisms. The article analyses prohibited practices in the field of AI in this area, in particular those relating to the prediction of the risk of committing a crime solely on the basis of profiling a natural person or assessing their personality traits and characteristics, and databases used for facial recognition through untargeted scraping of facial images from the internet or CCTV recordings

Abstract
In reaction to the recent fire in Altadena California, the author’s hometown, this paper will look at two novels by writers from the Los Angeles area: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury from 1953 and Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler from 1993. Both novels describe a dystopian future where fire plays a key role endangering the human population. Bradbury imagines a totalitarian world where books are burned as a potentially subversive threat to security, while Butler writes of a future, in the year 2024, where fire has devastated the land and religious fanaticism has further escalated conflict and violence.

Abstract
The article shows the relationship between peace and respect for the objective moral order. The author, inspired by the teaching of the Catholic Church, proposes a return to a concept of man that respects his personal nature and recognizes God as the source of moral good. At the center of the considerations is the question of human dignity and an invitation to re-reading the principles of natural law. The reflection also included the message of the Gospel, showing how the Messianic gift of peace can be shared by all people. The author concludes that the hope for security and peace is linked to the formation of right consciences of people who will not succumb to ideologies, but will base their thinking on a sincere search for the truth about man and his authentic good.

Abstract
This article introduces the conceptual category of ‘communitarian theories’. Drawing on nine-year-long studies into social reconstructionism, I claim that a vast majoring of people secretly desire unity in the spirit of internationalism. Such a unity becomes therefore a challenge for contemporary societies in the 21st century. In the article, I discuss the communitarian theories that are most familiar to me: Theodore Brameld’s world civilization theory, Martha Nussbaum’s ‘world citizenship’ and Emile Durkheim’s theory of unity. Finally, I ask the question whether and possibly to what extent these theories are affected by religions. And if they are, by which ones.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the problems of developing the professional culture of a teacher in the system of postgraduate education. It is about cultural creativity as an educational phenomenon and a representative of the teacher’s professional culture. The analysis of the artistic and creative potential of a modern teacher in the context of a cultural approach to educational processes is carried out. Artistically determined ways of forming the reflective and creative activity of the teacher’s personality are revealed with the aim of his in-depth understanding of the phenomenon of childhood. The methods of creating an artistic image of childhood by a teacher are presented, which the author tested in the system of postgraduate education of Ukrainian teachers.

Abstract
Truth, freedom and love are values that are interrelated and constitute a response to all threats to man, nation and world. In order to eliminate these threats, it is necessary to understand the value of truth, which gives meaning to human action, by opening oneself to God and accepting His teaching. From this value, combined with freedom, which is not arbitrariness, arises the behaviour of a person who chooses to accept good and reject evil. As a result of this unity, love flows as a gift to others and, when necessary, as a willingness to give one’s life for the values one professes. The bonds of truth, freedom and love protect against wars, terrorist attacks and the destruction of human life. However, security is born within the human heart. When it is properly formed, no one will challenge God in order to ‘make Him a great absentee.’ Only by following the truth will man not stray and be free in the love he offers to others, and human hearts will not accept the ideologies instilled in them that eliminate God.
